The Visual Science of Art Conference (VSAC) 2022 will be held in Amsterdam from 24-27 August. The VSAC invites all people that connect visual perception and the arts (e.g., empirical, experimental, philosophical, phenomenological, computational approaches).

Mingler Scholarship 2021 awarded for research on the impact of gut bacteria on dance performance
What impact do bacteria from the human gut have on dance performance? This is the question that French visual artist and speculative designer Marion Lasserre and Leiden University Medical Centre endocrinologist Patrick Rensen are examining in their research project Chorea Symbiotica.
Exhibition concept for botanic gardens called Photosynthesis. With photography, art, film and installations we investigate ways of perceiving nature different from the common perspective. The centrepiece is Flora’s Ark, a monumental terraforming time capsule with a small seed bank.
